EPO –Software Install (in this case an AV update)

Push AV update to a single computer (NOTE: First follow the software check-in procedure to register the software package with EPO that you will be working with and pushing out. I do not document those steps here)

1)      Select MENU drop-down in upper left corner of EPO menu.  Select ‘System Tree’ – then highlight the group you wish to update.
2)      Expand group and double-click on the individual system that you wish to update.

3)      From the ACTIONS button at the bottom of this window, select AGENT.

4)      From the AGENT menu, select MODIFY TASK on SINGLE SYSTEM.

5)      Select NEW TASK button at the bottom of the window. Give task a name.

<NEXT>

6)      From TYPE Drop Down menu: This pick list is where you select the action, choose PRODUCT DEPLOYMENT even for an AV update.

Leave default radio button checked next to the TAGS section, ‘Send this task to all computers’ since you only highlight one PC at the beginning of this process there will only be one machine receiving this update.

<NEXT>

7)      PRODUCTS and COMPONENTS drop down menu: Select Product that you registered in the very beginning of this process (I didn’t document the process to register a new update in these notes)

8)      ACTION: Install

9)      OPTIONS checkbox -¿   Mark the box to ‘Run at every policy enforcement’.

<NEXT>

10)      Schedule status:  Enabled

11)      Schedule Type:  select what you want but I am using RUN IMMEDIATLEY in this example.

<NEXT>

SAVE… and you are finished!
